It may be spring, at least according to the calendar and all the ads from the garden centers, but living here you would not know it. We had two feet of snow last weekend and have had several snows since then, actually it has snowed every day since then. Four inches here, six inches there, here an inch, there an inch…everywhere an inch inch…It all adds up to over another foot since then.
We finally got tired of moving snow and hired a crew to come clear the decks, the path to the wood pile and the walkways, but of course it snowed that night and every day since then so we are back to clearing again and of course roof raking.
The only one in this house who still likes the snow is Buddy. Charlie the cat gave up wanting to go outside about 4 months ago and spends most of his time sleeping in the sunbeam that hits our bed during the day. He does come out to eat and to butt the dog with his head, he has a sense of humor.
For your entertainment or sympathy I have added some photos to this post…
This is the view from inside looking out the back door that we do not use in the winter. The snow pile is from snow that comes off the roof. We also have piles of snow surrounding our decks the are now higher than the deck railing.
It’s hard to get excited about gardening when the garden area is under 4 feet of snow. Our entire yard is covered by 3 to 6 feet of snow.
Spring will come, I know it will………………
